B.) the food web would collapse. Plants are known as primary producers, they make most of the glucose in the world. Without plants herbivores would starve, without herbivores carnivores would starve. Eventually without dead and decaying organisms decomposers would starve. Without plants the earth would in all likelihood eventually become barren.
